Carlo Ancelotti admits Real Madrid lack depth of quality in their striker position. With limited playing options and may consider a solution this football summer.
Real Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admits he may have the depth of the quality of the center forward position. That only Karim Benzema and Rodrigo Goes have used. Considering adding more players in that position this summer. According to reports from Marca on Friday.
Benzema produced a flawless performance last year to win the Ballon d’Or. But now the Frenchman is 35 and his rotation options are less questionable. Because there is only Mariano Diaz, who is the only natural striker in the team. But Ancelotti often chooses Rodrygo to play in that position or moves to Marco Asensio. Or Federico Valverde to play in that position as well.
When asked if having only Benzema and Rodrygo as options for the center forward position would be enough for next season? UFABET
The Italian trainer replied:
‘It’s something we’ll talk about. We have to take into account Karim’s age and what he brings with him. when he returns He’s doing great. And I believe he will do very well next season.’
No one doubts Benzema’s quality, but he has struggled with his fitness this season, playing only 21 out of 33 games and in many of them. He also looked lacking in sharpness or not being fully fit.
Ancelotti was also asked how many goals he would like to see Rodrigo score this season. After the Brazilian offensive line has already pressed 10 goals, behind only Benzema (13) and Vinicius Junior (14) only.
‘I don’t know how many goals he’s going to score. He has the quality to score lots of goals. But the important thing is that he scores important goals. I wouldn’t take any more risks. I’ve already placed a bet on Valverde, I won’t risk it on Rodrygo.’
Ancelotti had previously revealed he had bet on Valverde if the Uruguayan international did not score 10 goals this season. He will give up his coaching license. And now the 24-year-old has scored nine goals in 32 games across all competitions.
